How To Use


1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).

2. Empty the contents of Packet into a bowl, add 250 mL (1 cup)

Lukewarm Water, 2 tbsp. Chopped Garlic, 1 tsp. Chopped Ginger and gently mix (Do not overmix). Let it sit for a minimum of 15 minutes.

3. Add 4 cups of fresh Shredded Dudhi (Lauki) or 4 cups of a chopped vegetable of your choice.

4. PREPARE 'VAGHAR': Heat 8 tbsp. Vegetable Oil in pan and add the following ingredients in the order given:

a. 1 Cinnamon Stick

b. 3 or 4 Cloves

C. 2 Dry Whole Chillies

d. 1/2 tsp. Mustard Seeds

e. 1 tbsp. Sesame Seeds

f. 1/2 tsp. Asafoetida Powder

5. Pour half of the 'Vaghar' into batter and stir gently.

6. Pour batter into a well-oiled baking pan (about 9"X13" in size).

Evenly spread remaining 'Vaghar' over top of batter (Do not mix) and immediately place baking pan into oven on middle shelf. (Oven must be preheated to 190°C (375°F).

7. Bake for about 35 minutes. For a crispier crust, set oven to 'Broil' setting and heat for an additional 5 minutes.
